R.I.P. ALAN LONGMUIR
Alan Longmuir was a pop-rock musician who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on June 20th, 1948. He is best remembered as the original bassist (and a founding member of the Bay City Rollers). His time with the band lasted from its formation (in 1966) until ten years later (in 1976), when he left the group.
Some of the group’s most popular songs include “Saturday Night”, “Money Honey”, “I Only Wanna Be with You”, and today’s attached song link.
On this very day, July 2nd 2018, Alan Longmuir died at 70 years of age (while on vacation in Mexico). In memory of his passing, exactly 6 years ago today, I’ve chosen a song that was originally recorded by the Four Seasons (back in 1965). From the album, “Once Upon a Star”, here’s the Bay City Rollers featuring the late, ALAN LONGMUIR, with “BYE BYE BABY”….
